When the church was young, Christ-followers expected unexpected things to happen. They were unified in spirit and met together daily for worship and teaching; they communed with God and placed a high priority on prayer. For them, hearing from the Lord through His Holy Spirit was vital at every juncture! Believers were obedient, the apostles bold, and all were generous with their time and resources as they consistently expected God to move. This message series, When the Church Was Young, is not intended to make us feel like failures, as though the Church has drifted beyond all hope – but is a call to study the church when she was young and simply ask: What can we learn from the early church?
