When the church was young, she had energy. Believers were youthful in their zeal for the Lord Jesus, not weighted down with the trappings of this world. The church was in the world yes, on the playing field of life, but their enthusiasm was fueled in huddle groups when their eyes were on their Savior and their ears open to the plays called by their leaders, the early apostles. There was excitement in the mission before them, and these Christ-followers knew how to make some noise.
