From The Pastor’s Heart: Ground Breaking, July 5th Celebration, & Changed Lives
From our One Year Bible Reading this week, “12 Everyone listened quietly as Barnabas and Paul told about the miraculous signs and wonders God had done through them among the Gentiles.” Acts 15: 12
We are witnessing a movement of God at Christ Church. How do we respond when a movement of God is changing lives? I suggest three responses: Praise, Participate and Pray. You may be wondering how we are doing with our Vision 2:28 goals: a) Planting 10 new churches in 3 years, b) Doubling baptisms and new professions of faith in Christ, and life groups, and goal of raising 5 million by 12-31-28.
Praise: I begin as Paul and Barnabas by sharing praise for the miraculous signs and wonders God has done since Easter at Christ Church. We’ve had dozens of baptisms at all of our campuses and persons joining our Christ Church family. We have more scheduled this summer.
Participate: When a movement of God is taking place we all need to participate:

Praise: I begin as Paul and Barnabas by sharing praise for the miraculous signs and wonders God has done since Easter at Christ Church. We’ve had dozens of baptisms at all of our campuses and persons joining our Christ Church family. We have more scheduled this summer.
- Mega Sports Camp had record attendance of 181 kids at Mt. View Campus with 48 decisions for Christ, and 106 kids at our Statesville Campus with 35 decisions for Christ! We had a sister church partner with us and over 100 volunteers who served at Mega! We are so grateful.
- Planting 10 new churches: July 20-27 the Ghana Mission team will plant three new churches in the Sekondi, Ghana area in three remote villages while we give them free medical care. We will have planted 51 new churches in Ghana with a total of 53 total world wide.
Participate: When a movement of God is taking place we all need to participate:
- Life Groups: We have multiple groups launching this summer with strong plans for launching new life groups this fall, along with Financial Peace University during our new series “Faith Works” Study of Book of James starting September 6th.
- Vision 2:28 Goal of $5,000,000? We have received $834,009 in just six months. We need $176,000 more to reach our $1 million goal for the new Lincolnton Facility. Let’s pray for God to meet this goal by August 31.
- Ground Breaking for New Lincolnton Building: Saturday July 18th at 10am located at 3140 E. 27 Highway Lincolnton, NC. 28092
- Light Up the Night July 5th--Volunteer and Invite others to join you for worship music starting at 4:30pm and service at 5pm followed by food, games and celebration and giving God thanks for the 250th Birthday of the United States.
- Back to School Bash August 9th as we need volunteers in many roles.
- Pray for generosity as our General Budget Giving to date is $1,645,973 and we need $1,924,950 which is a shortfall of $278,976 year to date. So please remember your tithes and offerings this summer so God can continue to change lives and serve our community.
- Pray for unchurched persons as we will place their names in the buckets during the ground breaking on July 18th at 10am at the Lincolnton Campus.
- Pray for God to continue to move in our worship services and for each of us to invite others to worship so more lives find Christ.
Gratefully yours,
Pastors Charles, Mike, Chip, Trent, Tyler, Walter, and Matthew
