What does Christ Church have for children?
The Children’s Ministry, “CCKids,” is designed specifically for birth to 5th grade and strives to be the best hour of your child’s week. We want your child to experience an engaging, life-changing message from God’s Word in a way that they can understand, no matter what their age. We would love for you to come check it out this weekend!
Also, in addition to our regular Sunday morning worship service, CCKids offers family events throughout the year. Our children ministry’s goal is to connect families at home with ways to help grow deeper in spiritual development as well as provide fun activities for families to get together.
Friday Night Jam is a dance for elementary age children which is held once a month as an outreach to the community. Kids are encouraged to invite their friends out to have fun in a safe environment. Admission is $5 and includes Pizza, drink, dessert, and a chance to win one of many door prizes! FNJ is held every first Friday of the month at Webb Murray for Kindergarten – 5th Grade; every 2nd Friday of the month at Troutman Elementary for Kindergarten – 5th Grade; and every 2nd Friday of the month at our Mt. View Campus for Kindergarten – 6th Grade.
When does the children’s ministry meet?
The Children’s Ministry meets each week during our regular service times on Sundays. This allows you the opportunity to worship while your children are enjoying activities geared toward their age group. We will do our best to ensure your child’s happiness and attend to his or her needs while you attend worship. Parents with infants and toddlers are issued pagers or may leave their cell phone number to be texted should they be needed during the service.
Are children separated into age groups?
Yes! We believe that different ages learn in different ways.
- Boxcar Babies (6 Weeks – Age 2): We want you to be able to worship while knowing your baby is loved, taken care of and our two year old curriculum is specifically designed for this age group.
- Kids Express (Age 3 – Kindergarten): Our preschool ministry focuses on 3 key elements. God made you, God loves you, and Jesus wants to be your best friend forever.
- J-Train (1st – 3rd grade): Our early elementary ministry goal is to create a captivating and edutaining environment where children will grow in their understanding of the Bible, build relationships that last and will be able to apply biblical virtues to their everyday life.
- The Verge (4th – 5th grade): Our tween ministry provides a fun and safe place where kids form relationships with small group leaders, can ask questions and learn what it means to have a relationship with Christ.
- CC Special: CC Special is part of our children’s ministry at Christ Church and is for any child with special needs that would require more one-on-one attention on a Sunday morning. We want to ensure every child at Christ Church can learn to about God’s love for them. For more information, please contact us!
Will my children be safe?
Your child’s safety is one of our top priorities. We have a check-in system with parent security tags as well as well trained staff and volunteers who have had complete background screenings. No matter what, our desire is to maintain a safe, secure environment for your children while you are here.
